Kiff, lekker bru, howzit, babelas, loskop these are just a few of the weird and wonderful colloquial expressions that lie at the heart of what it means to be South African. Honestly, there’s no better way to describe the way we feel about life, people, and the little things that make Mzansi home.
SilentK was born from that sentiment a love letter to South Africa’s quirks, humour, and outdoor way of life. Founded by Tessa and Andrew Jones, every single T-shirt is hand-printed by the two of them at their in-house studio along the Garden Route. Their passion for design, quality, and the environment runs through everything they do from the first sketch to the final print.
“Our aim from the start was simple: to design and print lekker tees that celebrate the great outdoors and the kiff South African way of life. We draw inspiration from our time around the braai, the beaches and forests that surround us, and the unbeatable local spirit that makes South Africa so unique.”
You’ll find SilentK’s full range of proudly South African tees at the Mosaic Market in Sedgefield (Saturdays), Old Nick Village Market in Plettenberg Bay (Wednesdays), and Harkerville Market (Saturdays) — as well as The Colab Shop at Market off Main in Plett all week long.
Alongside their own range, SilentK also designs and prints for local businesses, events, and brands along the Garden Route and beyond.
